Before you write
A few things we get asked constantly, answered faster on our FAQ page:
- The file won’t open in Silhouette Studio. You’re almost certainly on Basic Edition, which can’t read SVG. Use the DXF from the same download instead.
- The download is a ZIP and you’re on an iPad. Tap the ZIP in the Files app and it will unpack itself into a folder. Or use the individual SVG, PNG and DXF buttons on the design page and skip the ZIP entirely.
- Can I sell what I make with this? See commercial use — the short answer is that our files are for personal use.
Design requests
We do take them, and we do read them, though we can’t promise any particular design or a date. Seasonal requests land best about three months ahead of the season.
We can’t take requests for licensed characters, brands, sports teams or anything based on someone else’s copyrighted work.
